School Regulations

  • Students are expected to demonstrate an increasing self-discipline with age and to exercise the freedom given to them responsibly. They should treat all members of the staff and all adults with respect and politeness. They should show gentleness and courtesy to their companions. Refinement of manners, uprightness and self-restraint should be the characteristic of every student of the school. Good manners and polite behavior is part of education.
  • When the bell is rung, students must go into their respective classrooms. The classroom must be neat and tidy and looked after by the class monitor. Silence is to be strictly observed during class hours and during the change of teachers or while going from one class to another. During the absence of a teacher, students must obey the monitor of the class. Those who have been absent and those who come late, must show the teacher their ‘Regularity Record’.
  • No outsiders are allowed to visit the classrooms or the teachers without proper permission. Any other activities that do not pertain directly to the actual teaching of the school programmer can only be allowed with the explicit permission of the Headmaster.
  • Pupils are responsible for the safe custody of their books and belongings which must be marked clearly with their names. The school does not accept responsibility for the loss of any belongings of pupils.
  • Any damage to the school property must be remedied at the cost of the person responsible for the damage.
  • Students are forbidden to bring electronic gadgets [including watches and calculators] and jewelry. No books, periodicals or magazines of any kind other than school and library books may be brought to the school. Any forbidden articles and electronic gadgets confiscated will not be returned. The students require explicit written permission of headmaster to bring any articles mentioned above.
  • Use of tobacco materials or smoking in the school campus is strictly forbidden.
  • Students will be detained from entering the classroom if found wearing nails polish, lipstick or decoration on the palms with mahendi.
  • Any complaint or suggestion regarding pedagogy, curriculum, teacher etc. should be made to the Headmaster in writing; verbal complaints will not be entertained.
  • All must speak in English in the school campus at all times. Students and teachers found speaking in other languages, except with the parents, will be penalized.
    Exception is made for students of nursery and KG, but teachers must encourage them to try to speak in English.
  • Male students must keep their hair short and comb them properly and female students must tie their hair in one or two plaits, according to the requirement. Students are not allowed to wear colourful bands and clips or any other article which is not part of school uniform.
