St. Francis Xavier English Medium School is a Catholic institution established and administered by the Catholic Diocese of Asansol. The National
Commission for Minority Educational Institutions [F.No.1693 of 2006] has recognized its status as a Minority Institution. The school was started in the year 1999 by Rev. Fr. Lawrence Pinto as a Nursery School in St. Francis Xavier Church premise, later in the year 2001 Rev. Fr Dolphy Hilary Mathias started primary section. Rev. Fr. Aloysius Vanigasooriyar began High School in the year 2005 and in the year 2007 the school was shifted to present site which was donated by Late Sukumar Bowmick....
